Allatra TV and Rumble: Suppression of dissent and restrictions on free speech

 

I am an ordinary American woman just like you. I live my life, take care of my family, work. But I see our democratic world changing. And it's changing for the better.

For me, a sobering fact was that the Rumble platform is banned in Russia. Everyone knows that Rumble is a beacon of free speech and unhindered expression.  It is not just a blip on the radar; it is a warning shot to the forehead of democracy itself.

Of course, someone might say, “I don't care about Allatra TV”. But it was because of Allatra TV that Rumble was shut down in Russia.  When I delved deeper into this topic (here I was helped by the information “Undeclared War: America is Under Attack”), I realized that the real issue is that by agreeing to the closure of Allatra TV and Rumble in Russia, we are allowing the closure of democracy around the world. That is, we are thus agreeing to the closure of a platform for free expression.  

What happens when we accept that silencing someone's voice is necessary?

After all, we are not just talking about Allatra TV or Rumble.  In this case, I see that we are talking about a dangerous trend of suppressing dissent and restricting free speech.  And it is the anti-cultists who are doing all this. It is the anti-cultists who are undermining our fundamental rights and freedoms like this.  With such point and seemingly insignificant bans and persecutions, the anti-cultists are driving all of humanity into digital slavery and totalitarianism. 

We've all heard the mantra “if it's necessary, then it's okay.”  

But is it really okay to tolerate the suppression of ideas we don't agree with?  

Is it okay to turn a blind eye to the loss of free speech, even if it doesn't directly affect us now?

The truth is that when we accept the silence of one voice, we open the door to the silence of many.  We become complicit in the death of democracy around the world. 

Realizing this is what led me to start expressing my opinion on these issues here in articles. I just fundamentally disagree with restricting my freedom.  I realize that all people of good will should be the voice of truth, even if it is inconvenient to some. I realized that evil in the world can be defeated very easily if everyone starts expressing their opinions freely. And then all people will be able to decide together how to fix the situation peacefully, without any violence. So the fight for our freedom starts with us, with individuals.  It starts with raising our voices, asking questions and sharing information. 


Already today we see examples of honest and decent people defending the voice of democracy. I am referring to the example of Rumble:  “Mr. Chris Pavlovski, the chief executive of Rumble, has taken a principled stand that deserves commendation. His unwavering commitment to democratic ideals, even at the cost of forsaking millions of views and users, by refusing to silence a channel with a mere 500 subscribers, exemplifies the noblest virtues of a free society. It is individuals and platforms like Mr. Pavlovski and Rumble that form the bedrock of democracy, placing the sanctity of open discourse above personal or commercial interests. Such acts of moral courage serve as a bulwark against the erosion of fundamental freedoms and remind us of the enduring value of upholding democratic values.”
